SUSTAINABILITY

When Marta Taronna and Sarah Parisi decided to create the Arturo brand, two were the objectives set and fundamental: respect for the planet through the use of only sustainable materials and all-Italian production to guarantee the best quality on the market and the use of high-quality certified cottons. The entire production chain, except for cotton cultivation, which takes advantage of Egyptian excellence in the sector, takes place in Italy and is completely traceable.

The suppliers are members of the Better Cotton Initiative, the largest cotton sustainability program in the world, and the yarns have several certifications including Standard 100 by Oeko Tex, one of the largest independent and uniform international control and certification systems for raw materials.

Arturo is a quality product designed to last as long as possible in order to encourage a responsible attitude to purchasing. With each sock purchased on the e-commerce site, a spool of thread is sent in the color of the toe of the sock purchased to encourage active involvement of the consumer so that the product is given a second life after any wear.

These founding values, the choices and daily commitment that form the basis of the Arturo corporate structure have allowed it to rank among the top 10 finalists of the WSM White Smart Contest in January 2020. One of the most important contests in the sector, aimed at emerging start-ups with a focus on sustainability and supply chain traceability.

The goal is to make Arturo a Made in Italy brand founded by two women entrepreneurs under 30, a virtuous model through a process that in this sector has often been put on the back burner. And that today increasingly poses itself as a real urgency for the protection of the environment.

SUSTAINABILITY IS THE JOURNEY THAT ARTURO WANTS TO CONSTANTLY TAKE IN SEARCH OF NEW CHALLENGES TO IMPROVE HIMSELF
